About us

My name is Marie-Pierre, but everyone calls me Mapi.

I fell in love with the art of spinning in 2019, starting with alpaca fiber. Originally from Bolivia, working with natural fibers has always been in my DNA.

Today, I handle every step of the process myself — from washing and carding to dyeing and spinning — creating both artistic fiber batts and unique handspun yarns for crochet, knitting, or weaving. Most of my fiber comes from local Canadian farms. 🧶🍁

🗞 In 2024, my work was featured in Fibre Magazine (Quebec) and Spin Off Magazine.

📚 In 2025, I began a 6-year spinning certification program at the Haliburton School of Art and Design, Ontario, offered by the Ontario Handweavers and Spinners (OHS)."

My mission is to help spinning shine and share this passion with the world.
