About us

My name is Marie-Pierre, but everyone calls me Mapi.
I fell in love with the art of spinning in 2019, starting with alpaca fiber. Originally from Bolivia, working with natural fibers has always been in my DNA.
Today, I handle every step of the process myself — from washing and carding to dyeing and spinning — creating both artistic fiber batts and unique handspun yarns for crochet, knitting, or weaving. Most of my fiber comes from local Canadian farms. 🧶🍁
🗞 In 2024, my work was featured in Fibre Magazine (Quebec) and Spin Off Magazine.
📚 In 2025, I’ll begin a 6-year certification program in spinning at the Haliburton School of Art and Design, Ontario — offered by the Ontario Handweavers and Spinners Association (OHS)
My mission is to help spinning shine and share this passion with the world.
