Introduction to spinning an Art Yarn

This course takes place in my studio in Montebello, you will receive an email a few days before the course with all the details. 
The course can be taught in French or English.

Course: Introduction to spinning an Art Yarn

Ends: 16:00 pm

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

prepare and blend colored fibers on a drum carder
spin 3 types of art yarn
incorporate different materials into your spinning, such as locks, fabric, and beads
use different plying techniques.

Prerequisite skills:

experience spinning on a spinning wheel;
experience spinning with the large bobbins on your spinning wheel  (knowing how to install them ) 

• It is important to have a working spinning wheel as there will be no time available to repair your wheel. 
• Electric wheel are welcome

experience plying

You will receive a fiber kit.

Participants: 10 maximum.

Materials to bring: 
spinning wheel 
2 jumbo bobbins with appropriate flyer
lazy kate
a niddy noddy
Your fibre (in case you have time to spin all the wool in the kit and still have time to practice
